ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ॥
ਮਲਾਰ ਬਾਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਕੀ॥ ਗੁਰੂ ਗਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ - ਪੰਨਾ ੧੨੯੩॥
ਮਿਲਤ ਪਿਆਰੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਨਾਥੁ ਕਵਨ ਭਗਤਿ ਤੇ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ਪਰਮ ਗਤੇ॥
ਰਹਾਉ॥
ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਸਤਸੰਗੀਓ, ਜੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰਨਾ ਲੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ
ਕਿਸੇ ਅਖੌਤੀ ਦੇਵੀ-ਦੇਵਤੇ, ਇੱਸ਼ਟ ਜਾਂ ਸੰਤ-ਬਾਬੇ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਰੂਹਾਨੀ
ਅਵਸਥਾ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ
ਹੋਏ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ। (ਠਹਿਰੋ, ਸਮਝੋ, ਗ੍ਰਹਿਣ ਕਰੋ)
O True Devotees, if we wish to attain God’s refuge, then we
should get together with other Guru-oriented persons and sing the praises of the
Almighty God. Thus, unison with God could be achieved provided the persons
discontinue to run after the so-called gods or self-made sant-babas, atheists
and mendicants. (Pause, comprehend & follow)
ਮੈਲੇ ਕਪਰੇ ਕਹਾ ਲਉ ਧੋਵਉ॥ ਆਵੈਗੀ ਨੀਦ ਕਹਾ ਲਗੁ ਸੋਵਉ॥ ੧॥
ਅਰਥ: ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਬੁਰਾਈ/ਨਿੰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ।
ਇੰਜ, ਇਨਸਾਨ ਬੇਸਮਝੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਚੁਕੰਨਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜੀਵ, ਅਕਾਲ
ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹੇ। (੧)
We should neither slander anyone nor have vicious thoughts
against others. Thus, the true devotee won’t indulge in any evil deed but would
remain alert and attuned with the True Naam of God. It assists the person to
attain emancipation in life. (1)
ਜੋਈ ਜੋਈ ਜੋਰਿਓ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਫਾਟਿਓ॥ ਝੂਠੈ ਬਨਜਿ ਉਠਿ ਹੀ ਗਈ ਹਾਟਿਓ॥ ੨॥
ਅਰਥ: ਸਾਧ-ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੁਕਰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੱਟਕਾਰਾ
ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇਹੜੇ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਧੰਧਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਏ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨੇ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ
ਹਨ। (੨)
By associating with the company of true devotees, we could
get rid of evil deeds and should never indulge in false activities. (2)
ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਭਇਓ ਜਬ ਲੇਖੋ॥ ਜੋਈ ਜੋਈ ਕੀਨੋ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਦੇਖਿਓ॥ ੩॥ ੧॥ ੩॥
ਅਰਥ: ਭਗਤ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸਤ-ਸੰਗਤ ਸਦਕਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ
ਕੀਤੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਝੀ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਨੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।
(੩/੧/੩) {ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੇਧ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਮੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਸਾਡੀ ਬੁਰੇ
ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਸੁਧਰ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ
ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਭਾਵ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ
ਦੁੱਖ-ਤਕਲੀਫਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੱਟਕਾਰਾ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ}

looked into the earlier actions performed in life all the bad deeds have been

[We should understand that as we sow so we reap in this life.
Therefore, let us perform the righteous deeds and lead Truthful life without
slandering anyone.]
